The module allows users to record current asset value for land, buildings and plant/
equipment in addition to the valuation basis and type with the opportunity for free text
entry. Historical valuations are maintained and can be viewed for comparison, multiple
valuations can also be recorded, for example asset, insurance and rental valuations.
Specific valuations can be assigned to individual Valuation Officers with forward planning
actively promoted by recording the next valuation due date and managed through
the integrated diary. Collected data is used to calculate Net Book Value and Depreciation
for Capital Accounting requirements.
An approval process for the valuations is supported with dedicated sub folders for
tracking the work flow status with draft, quality assurance, approved, disposed & superseded
folders provided as standard.
Promotes flexibility on transaction policies with the ability to record acquisitions, additions,
appropriations, impairments, revaluations, transfers and disposals. Transactions
can be broken down by year enabling the user to monitor transactions both through
and across the years. Users can use the incorporated reporting section to generate Year End Balance Sheet Movement reports with data being easily exported to Excel. The module enables users to track
information about their property portfolio in a fully
integrated manner. The Land Terrier, Property Register
and Asset Management Plans can be developed together
without duplication of data. This enables the Property
Manger to have the strategic level information demanded
by the ODPM in order to make key decisions on investment
and disposals.
“TF’s approach to building the capital accounting module has been to ensure the client has
been fully involved & informed throughout the development process.
We are confident that the product will not only meet the strict financial needs
but also provide user friendly management information.”
