Formed in 1968, Thames Valley Police is one of the largest police forces in England covering 2,200 square miles and serving a population in excess of 2 million people. TVP is spread across 154 sites totalling 140,000sqm. Since 2010, there has been a programme of review and rationalisation of the estate with the aim to have a leaner, fit-for-purpose, lower cost and lower carbon footprint estate, with greater emphasis on agile working.
Thames Valley Police will be utilising the tf cloud system to help manage its estate with modules including Property, Plant, Help Calls, Instructions & Invoicing, Inspections, Questionnaire including Legionella & Fire Risk, Asbestos Survey and Condition Survey, as well as portal and handheld access.
TVP decided to procure tf cloud using the G-Cloud 7 framework and join other TF clients which obtained the system via G-Cloud including Scottish Fire and Rescue, West Lindsey District Council, London Borough of Hounslow and Central Bedfordshire Council.
Thames Valley Police followed the G-Cloud buying process by preparing requirements, searching for suppliers, shortlisting suppliers and thoroughly evaluating options utilising the most economically advantageous tender (MEAT) criteria. TVP actively engages with SME suppliers and adds The Technology Forge to its significant SME supplier base.
Mike Underwood, Facilities Support Services Manager at Thames Valley Police comments:

After an extensive procurement process we selected the tf cloud system from The Technology Forge. We are looking forward to working with The Technology Forge in our challenge to deliver an efficient and cost effective estate."
Mark Wardman, Managing Director of The Technology Forge comments:
