Scottish User Group Review

Just a few weeks ago, we hosted out annual Scottish User Group event at The Westerwood Hotel in Cumbernauld, just outside Glasgow. The event included a number of presentations and discussions specific to our products and also the IT industry and Public Sector. Delegates included the majority of our Scottish clients and also a number of non-clients.

In the morning, we gave an overview of the last year at The Technology Forge including new clients, results of our annual customer survey and a look at the latest updates to the tf facility product. There were also informative presentations from Mark Wardman, Managing Director and Mark Whitaker, Senior Executive who spoke about BIM integration and application programme interface (API) respectively. Both presentations focussed on the technologies in general and how TF is utilising these powerful technologies in line with its products.

In the afternoon we looked at updates to the web-based tf cloud product, including the new reporting tools, contracts and inspections functionality and other general enhancements. This was followed by a presentation on the latest British standards including the ISO 55000 asset management standard.

The day concluded with an open discussion forum where everyone had the opportunity to ask final questions and prompt discussion between other delegates.

We received some excellent feedback from the delegates, which confirmed to us, the importance and value of these events.

"The Team were very good and knew the software very well. It was very enjoyable and interesting"
Lynne Waters, Scottish Borders Council

"A good day, all presentations well delivered and another useful networking opportunity"
John Viviani, East Ayrshire Council

We urge all of our clients to attend a User Group event this year. They are free to attend, lunch is provided and we do our utmost to arrange events which are in a commutable distance for everyone. Details of all our events are published here.
