The council has selected tf cloud to meet its ambition "to create one central and accessible property data source integrated with all related core applications, which will deliver property management functionality and provide accurate up-to-date information to meet the demands of service departments and client users".
The council has a large portfolio of properties and provides services to the wider community. These include schools and other education based services, adult care provision, children's homes, libraries, offices and administrative buildings, investment portfolio, retail shops and rural estates. The Authority also holds records for approximately 1,100 pieces of land – including highways strips - in which it has or has had an interest.
tf cloud integrates with the council's finance system, SAP, communicating work orders, invoicing, billing and income information between the two systems. It includes modules such as Property, Plant, CAD, Estates Management, Valuations, Capital Accounting, Suitability, Sufficiency, Condition Survey, Hazard Survey, Corporate Suitability, Disability Access Audit, Projects, Inspections, Help Desk, Instructions and Finance.
The Technology Forge will be implementing the system over the coming months and providing comprehensive project management, consultancy and training to ensure a seamless implementation process.
Bev Gorani, Project Manager at Central Bedfordshire Council comments:
"The tf cloud system will help us to manage our large and complex property portfolio more effectively than ever before. We were looking to purchase a user friendly property asset management solution with a proven track record of successful integration with SAP and with off the shelf modules that could meet our business requirements without the need for bespoke development. The tf cloud system meets our requirements and we are looking forward to working with the Technology Forge team on implementing the solution."
Central Bedfordshire Council is The Technology Forge's latest client to purchase tf cloud via the Government G-Cloud Framework Agreement. This has allowed Central Bedfordshire Council to procure directly from The Technology Forge whilst still running a detailed procurement process.
Mark Wardman, Managing Director at The Technology Forge comments:
"We are pleased to welcome Central Bedfordshire Council as the latest TF Client. This is an exciting project with modules to facilitate all aspects of property and asset management. We hope to have a relationship with the council for many years to come".
