The Disability Access Audit (DAA) module has been developed
so you can carry out audits on your premises to determine
whether or not they comply with the Disability Discrimination
Act 1995. By October 2004 you are required to have carried
out your surveys and outline all the issues which need
to be addressed. The DAA module can help you achieve
this.
Our DAA software can be purchased as part of an overall
AMP or operate as a standalone system. Simplified audit
checklists have been composed which meet standard requirements
of recognised bodies. Questions are easy to answer with
a Yes / No format. Audits can be carried out on site,
manually via a checklist pro forma or with a Pocket
PC. The Pocket PC reduces the time to collect data,
prevents duplicate keying and facilitates the fast retrieval
of information back into the database. Within minutes
the results of the survey are available for checking
and verification. Any further Action to be taken can
be assigned against a building and then prioritised
and categorised appropriately.
"We were lucky enough to partner with TF in the development of the module. Using their software expertise
and our professional officers and advisors, we produced an excellent solution for gathering and
interrogating accessibility data. Some 500 audits later the database is used daily to monitor
and prioritise an ongoing access improvement programme.”
