TF Identified as Niche Leader

‘The niche leader’ – such was the verdict on The Technology Forge of Liberata, one of the UK’s leading specialists in business process outsourcing services, following a recent evaluation of the property system market. Liberata has just entered into a 15 year partnership with its new client Pendle Borough Council. Coincidentally, the Council had undertaken a parallel evaluation and also selected tf. facility as its number one system.

The solution will comprise a range of tf. facility modules to cover Pendle BC’s Asset Maintenance and Estates Management requirements and link directly to the Council’s AutoCAD and GIS systems. These integrated tf. facility modules, along with the pPI reporting tool, tf. director, will assist the Property Services department in meeting its’ ODPM AMP (Asset Management and Planning) responsibilities. To improve the quality of service offered by the department, t he system will be fully web enabled : tf. web for read only internet access and tf. webdesk for the logging of Help Calls over the internet.

tf. facility is also Liberata’s chosen system at Sheffield City Council where it has been satisfying ODPM and DfES AMP requirements since 2003.

The Technology Forge looks forward to working with Liberata on the Pendle BC contract and developing a mutually beneficial relationship through and beyond this project.

Flintshire County Council Chooses The Technology Forge

Following a rigid tender selection process, Flintshire County Council have chosen the tf. facility software solution to assist with Welsh Corporate and Education Asset Management.

Flintshire County Council had specific requirements to find an Integrated Asset Management Planning System for the Council’s Corporate Property Portfolio, as the existing software system no longer fulfilled their AMP needs. An external consultant was appointed to advise the Council on the various systems on the market and after consideration of all current packages available, The Technology Forge’s single integrated tf. facility system was selected.

Andy Smith, the Council’s Property and Asset Manager commented: ‘Flintshire County Council was aware that not all English and Welsh Authorities were truly happy with their Asset Management Software because technology was moving so quickly. We felt that tf. facility was the software we required once we had viewed it. We also felt that the opportunity for consistent updates to the software as and when they were available, would ensure that the software met the growing needs of the authority, without the need to look for alternative software packages in later years.’

The tf.facility system will be web enabled for read only access to AMP data and for the logging and tracking of Help Calls. It will link seamlessly to the Council’s GIS and CAD systems and be complimented by a range of integrated modules including tf. director for PI reporting, Estates Management, PPM, Help Desk, Condition surveys, Suitability surveys and MOE (school net capacity submissions).

Once again, it wasn’t only the quality of software which attracted Flintshire County Council to The Technology Forge. ‘TF is a young dynamic company who really impressed us with the staff’s overall enthusiasm in relation to their product and on how they saw the company growing.’
