Stirling Ideas
At the beginning of the month we hosted our annual Scottish seminar in Stirling. This year we were happy to present our best agenda to date. We were lucky enough to have three presenters, two of which are our clients Alison Russell of Fife and Jamie Longmuir of North Somerset. Their presentations concerned their experiences implementing and using our system tf.facility and its related modules.
We were also lucky enough to have Terry Pitt from Msquared who made a presentation on evaluating your assets before implementing a system.
Our feedback from the day was excellent, delegates enjoyed the chance to hear from and interact with individuals that already have the tf. system in place. The day provided food for thought for the AMP process and procurement. The honest presentations made the day a success, warning delegates of the scope of implementing a large asset management system and the importance of getting all those effected involved at an early stage.
The group size was optimum for the best question and answer sessions, the Technology Forge was able to better demonstrate specific points of the system and respond to queries. Individuals commented on the thorough nature of the system and were keen to discuss the CAD and GIS integrated features, the possibility of keeping CAD plans more efficiently, and how to sort them into intelligent plans.
Some of the comments we had feature below;
'All the presenters were very relevant and interesting…good questions.’ (Alison Russell of Fife Council)
‘Excellent day.’ (John Dobbie of Dudee Council)
What did you find most useful about the day: ‘Comparing other council’s methodology.’ (Ian Cope of Inverclyde Council)
